Jesus fucking christ on a stick, I hate trying to keep up with DA. So hard when you have no time to check every. single. day. LJ is much easier, haha

So hey, I moved to San Francisco at the end of January. It... Well, it's been full of bullshit drama llama that makes me hate the world (those of you that read my LJ know all about it). While I've been here, a lot has happened, including but not limited to a family friend I've known since before I can remember passed away on February 5th (I have yet to come to terms with it), countless animation class troubles, trying (and still am in the process of this) to develop friends that don't make me want to smash things with a hammer, getting into the "bar scene" (wtfever that means), and coming dangerously close to hermitting for over a month.

Don't get me wrong, I love that I moved to SF and I'm finally going to AAU in person. However, all the problems that have been coming up this semester have made the transition bittersweet to say the least.

Right now I'm wasting time at lab rendering my animation AGAIN. My textures didn't render, so I'm rendering my 450 frames all over again. Each frame is taking ONE MINUTE to render. I'm going to be here for a while -_- I'm extremely irritated with my teacher 'cause over the course of the semester I've been discovering through lab techs and friends of mine just how much vital information my teacher has been leaving out. I can't even begin to tell you how many hrs I spent on my house project, or my animation. For one, I had to redo two weeks of animation work because of something my teacher neglected to tell me. Yeah, that's right, two weeks down the fucking drain. Bleh, whatever, I'm over it now, kinda. It meant I had to hardcore bust ass the last few days to make up for lost time. Now I'm redoing another 7+ hrs because I wasn't told the proper way to render. Weee, thanks there, teacher man.

It's all good, though. I've improved in leaps and bounds this semester, and I'll be taking photos and uploading a lot of it next week (hopefully). My semester ends this week and I go home on Saturday for a few weeks before coming back to SF for a summer class, Color and Design. It'll be my last Foundations class, thank god. By the end of this week, I'll have multiple sculptures (two of which will be fired over break and I can pick up when I come back for the summer), 100+ pages of naked people drawings, several 18x24 homeworks that I spent 20+ hrs on EACH ONE (one I spent 45-50 hrs on), and a demo reel. I've entered three pieces into the Spring Show, though I won't know if any got accepted until I go to the show next week. I'm hoping at least one made it in, and my Figure Drawing teacher said it looked really good, so yay <3

Anyway, yeah, updating since I have a lot of spare time right now I can't leave the computer while it's rendering, otherwise my computer will be given away and the render stopped, so I'll be here a while wasting time. Ah well, not much I can do about it I guess.
